Mexican Sycamore
Platanus mexicana
A fast growing tree with pyramidal growth, is perfect for quick shade, though it drops its leaves in the winter. Leaves grow quite large with silver underside, smooth peeling bark give interesting color as well.
Compared to the American Sycamore, the Mexican Sycamore does much better for our region as it is very drought tolerant.
